Lying in the heart of the Etruscan Maremma on the shores of the
Tyrrhenian Sea is the Etruscan Riviera Camping Village.
This holiday centre il located 10 Km from Tarquinia, a splendid
art town rich in archaeological finds bearing witness to the ancient
powerful and knowledgeable Etruscan people who settled here. In
these wind-ridden places you will discover unusual scenery, long
stretches of beaches covered with fine, ferous sand, as well as
the centuries-old, warmly-hued, undulating countryside.
This complex, covering a surface area of 200.000 sq.m., is hemmed
in and protected by a lush pinewood and offers a directly accessibile
private beach.
The campsite il open from March until October and supplies spacious
caravan parking, electricity and ample shade.
In addition to 54 two-roomed bungalows complete with a veranda,
and kitchen and bathroom with hot and cold running water, the holiday
centre also provides tukuls, that is Villanovan-style dwellings
which faithfully reproduce early Etruscan homes having a characteristic
wooden roof and intertwined reed walls.
The holiday centre il well equipped with a variety of facilities:
a restaurant, a pizzeria, a bar, a disco, a mini club, a supermarket,
a convenience store, a bazaar, a greengrocer's, a lauderette, a
tobacconist's, a newsstand, a spacious car park and picnic area,
as well as 7-day-a-week recreational activities.
Available to sports-lovers is a wide range of facilities and services:
two swimming pools, a minisoccer court, a bowls courts, a volleyball
court, two tennis court, a sailing school, a boathouse, and a stable
for the hiring of horses on local trips and excursions.
The sports activities on offer and our organised entertainment will
make your stay unforgettable.
In
July, in collaboration with the l'A.C.L.E. (Educational Linguistic
Cultural Association), the Etruscan Riviera Camping Village organises
city camps for primary and junior high school children, comprising
recreational activities, sports, and shows in English with native
English speakers (Junior English Certificate based on the new
European body legislation).
